Zain Farooq Syed

Zain is a second-year BBA student at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics  and plans to specialize in finance and minor in economics. He is scheduled to complete an internship at BCI as a Summer Analyst within  the Direct Private Equity Team. Zain has been involved with LIFA since his first year of university as a Junior Analyst and currently is the Director of Corporate. Over the past summer, Zain interned at Herencia Partners, where he was  actively involved in the firm’s investment evaluation process and had  experience analyzing confidential information memorandums and presenting  investment memorandums to the partners. Zain also interned at a New York-based investment management firm, Ironhold Capital, actively analyzing global equities through qualitative  research. He finally interned at TD Bank within the Enterprise Architecture: Strategy  and Governance team within the Downtown office.

Zain grew up in Vaughan and attended Maple High School (IB) and Tommy  Douglas Secondary School. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, competing in mixed martial arts, watching the UFC, working out, and learning how to play the guitar.
